A creative technologist comes to the table to make our ideas better by leveraging the power of tech + development. The person helps bake design and tech into ideas. You will be challenged on a daily basis with finding innovative tech solutions to creative ideas. This is a hands-on role, and you will be expected to get involved in live projects; your work will involve a mix of project work, proof-of-concept work and liaising with clients and internal teams to define & design applications and campaigns. We work on projects across all form factors - desktop to mobile, we do a lot of social integration (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, maps, music and more) and you'll be expected to get into the detail of current and future public APIs.
As a key member of a creative agency, some of the important skills to have is great judgment and disposition towards ideas, brand building and creative strategy. The key personal attributes are a willingness to get involved, and a desire to continue learning.
Work with clients to educate, inform and inspire.
Partner with account teams to help shape campaigns.
Represent the technical side of the agency and work with other developers to prove deliverables.
Coordinate with testers to ensure quality is maintained.
Develop a culture of excellence around the creative use of technology beyond advertising and marketing.
Must have Skills & Experience:
Expertise in a dynamic language (PHP, Ruby, Python).
Experience with open-source CMS (e.g. Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, Django-CMS).
Experience with multiple APIs – inc. Twitter, Instagram, and Foursquare.
The Video Editor reports directly to the Head of Flare and is responsible for editing video content, including social media videos, case studies and internal videos for our clients. However, this is more than just a production role. The Video Editor will also be called upon to help think of creative ideas and solutions for the repurposing of client assets, as well as brainstorm content ideas for social campaigns.
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere and After Effects is a must.
One to two years of experience in an agency or video production environment.
Working proficiency of English is helpful, but not required.
